About PlayWerx

 When our family first moved to North San Diego in 2004, we  immediately fell in love with the community, the people and so many of the wonderful pastimes the area afforded us. At some point, we started looking for indoor places where our children could expend their energies in a healthy and engaging environment. What we were seeking was a place that provided non-junk food options for all of us, kept the space clean and made it fun for the kids without making the parents feel like uncomfortable spectators. When we couldn't find a place that met those standards, we felt almost compelled to bring   that kind of experience to the community we had come to love so much.

Four years later, PlayWerx was born.

Now that our kids are older, we live vicariously through the parents who tell us how much they appreciate the simple things like our commitment to cleanliness and our gourmet, organic coffees. They enjoy the chance to sit on a leather couch and read a magazine written for grown-up's while their kids go bonkers (note: we like bonkers)in our multi-level play structure. They can't say enough about our menu of great tasting snacks that aren't full of chemicals and junk. They love how memorable and easy their kids' birthday parties at PlayWerx are.

But the greatest affirmation for us might surprise you. That comes every time we hear a kid voicing their displeasure, and yes sometimes a little screaming and crying are involved, about having to leave PlayWerx and go home. Now THAT is the kind of customer feedback that cannot be measured.....and we love it.
